strong enough ?
well with all this recent engine work makes me want to top swap. and after finding a serires 3 supercharged for $50 and i bought it so i have some of the parts. but what i was woundering was is the engine strong enough to handle the supercharger with a stock pully, and if i do it im getting headers, cat delete, 180 thremostat, northstar tb, fenderwell intake, and custom tune. i dont drive it hard, but everyonce in a while it will see WOT. engine has around 180,000miles, so can it handle it ?
thanks
thanks

The engine is strong enough, but you have a different compression ratio, so you won't be able to run as high of a boost as a L67. I would be more concerned with the transmission.

Correct, you need heads, LIM, supercharger, fuel rails, harmonic balancer, ICM bracker and tensioner, the #9 pulley bracket and pulley, and wiring harness upgrade for the boost control. Not to mention the tune

I'm confused. You asked the newb question...lol If you've read every thread then you should be up to speed on top swapping. Can you do it, sure...can your almost 200K motor handle it? We can't hand you a clear answer. These motors are strong and good in many ways. Without proper tuning, even a new motor can go bad.
