A little update here. I replaced the lifters last week (intended to, I 'broke in' the used motor with it'* own lifters, and have now switched back to my preferred set that my pushrods were designed for), and in the process kinda created a little leak.

I've now 'repaired' this leak 3 times, and am testing it under 5x the pressure (air) that the system would normally see with liquid. Just about have it nailed down, so I should be starting to put it back together again, but will need to pursue a more permanent non-prototype set of solutions soon.

I'm keeping last year'* top end on standby, and it won't go to the 'other' car until the IC is proven reliable.

EFFECTIVE has been proven, but there'* still a long way to go. Add many more hours of work to the running total. I've almost given up on it a couple times.

Please don't give up! This will be awesome! You've done so well so far. What caused the leak?

What caused the leak?

Me. Too much force on one of the fittings caused a leak inside the LIM where my fittings mate to the core.

Leak is fixed, and it'* all sealed up again. I'm using this opportunity to re-route the inlet across the front valve cover. Should start going together today after work, weather permitting. Car is in the driveway.

Pictures now would be moot. Just duplicating assembly pics from before, but I will post new inlet routing.

Weather is beautiful, I'm out there right now. I want to drive this to work in the morning.

Manifold? Check.
Bolts? Check.
Loctite? Check.
Distilled water? Check.
Ice? Check.
Glenfiddich? Checkarooni.

Got pretty far. You have to remember that this isn't a typical assembly any more. Custom gaskets and sealing, fasteners harder to get to, routing different for some stuff.

This evening'* entertainment and refreshment:

See how deep the set screw is recessed in the lock nut on my AFPR? This would only achieve about 3.6 bar or so. Casper'* put this one together with too short of a screw. Back to the beginning on my fuel tuning. But I have a fix for that. Longer screws and better locknuts:

One of these should fit. I forget the thread pitch. It'* either 8-32 or 6-32. I'm thinking #6.

Still need to hook up the radiator hoses and re-fill (less antifreeze this time around, and adding water-wetter), vac lines, fuel rail, FWI, harnesses, coils, plugs, wires, and alternator. Then there'* the typical filling and burping of the intercooler again after connecting the lines to the LIM.

Wow I can't believe that regulator screw. Edit - Mine has 1/8" of thread left. :? I suppose they "screwed up" at the factory.

My pump outflows your stock for stock and I've upgraded since then. I assume the issue was on Casper'* end.
