They're twin-screw roots with a 60 degree helical twist. The intercooler has to be placed between the power-adder and the manifold, which means raising the supercharger........until now.
Raising the supercharger adds cost in custom fuel rails or injector spacers. I avoided that as well. My total cost incurred to date is only about $450. Tossing out my 'errors' this can be done for $400, but with a HUGE amount of fabrication, and a machine shop.

Eaton, Roots type.
Looking good Bill. If you are dropping temps 30*F that equates to about a 10 hp baseline gain for you plus it opens up room for KR free timing and boost for even more hp.
My guess is about a 30 hp gain.

Well fellers, it'* a bust. I'll start taking it off after final testing tomorrow.
Kidding. She'* a winner for sure. I'd say this can stay long-term:
![](https://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a315/willwren/whorage/DSC01012.jpg)
50 degree F ambient temps.
Cruising at 65mph with cruise set, Intercooler runs 15 degrees cooler than without.
Extended half-boost runs (5 miles at a time) in second gear at 65mph drops 20-25 degrees.
1/8 mile WOT sprints drop 30-35 degrees.
And that'* still full of micro-bubbles. The pump stuirs the **** up good in there. Chops them bubbles up and blends them well. In time, they'll all be gone and it'll be more efficient.
The reason high boost runs show a bigger gain is primarily because that'* the only test I ran that actually flows ALL the air through the core. The rest of the time I was at least partially bypassed, which actually misses the core.
My GOAL all along was 30 degrees. I'd call it a success (the Admins know this from a hidden topic from some time ago) if it achieved 20 degrees (considering the cost, that'* not bad). I'm sitting right now about half the efficiency of the ZZP SSIC which is all I really need, and why I could get away with this. I ran a 2.2" pulley last year with zero KR (but chose the 2.3" and more timing for competition). This should be all I need to run the 2.2" with more timing, or 2.0" pulley with the same timing as last year.

Say 4 hours of machining, but there were two of us at it for awhile, so 6 hours of machining. Add to that, about a dozen 2-hour stints farting around with parts and fitment.
Probably another 12 during the week Pdad and I had to put it together. But that doesn't count trips to the hardware store, hours of research, and tons of thinking time. I probably have a good 2 weeks with no sleep in this from start to finish.
To duplicate it again (having done it) I'd estimate two weeks start to finish. That'* every afternoon after work and both full weekends.

In other words..a Shiat load of time lol
We worked on her pretty much all weekend...but it goes by fast when you are with a ton of other people having fun at the same time.

But we didn't really touch the intercooler. Pdad did all the top end motor work the next week, which freed me up for the final fabrication work. And there'* a ton more involved than the pics here and in the meet topic show.
