safe suspension upgrade for 2000 LeSabre
My daughter received a 2000 LeSabre from her great grandmother with 120k miles on it. She is the original owner. The car needs shocks/ struts. It has the rear ELC (air ride?) suspension with no swar bar and the standard struts up front.
Where can I find suitable upgraded parts to improve the safety and handling of the car? and what parts would you recommend?
Just to specify what I'm talking about here, I don't need a GXP FE5 suspension and certainly am not looking to break the bank. If I buy new parts, do I purchase new or used Bonneville FE2 or FE whatever struts/ Shocks or just new aftermarket? What aftermarket struts?
Also want to install larger sway bars frt and rear. Found an SSEi bar for the frt...not sure what suspension that it had though.
Any help or links that you could suggest would be most appreciated. She will be 16 in a month and I will be turning her loose with this barge, so I def need some help here. It really handles like **** and I'm afraid of how it might respond in a panic maneuver with a 16 year old girl at the wheel.
Thanks,
Dean
