no i have not bought the filter yet but that k+n # helps alot thanks wilwren for the advise you always have an answer for anyone who needs help. thanks everyone else. Is k+n the best bet or not ????????

The RX4750 is preferred by many. They were originally designed for the Xterra. I tested one in our application (before they were released for retail sale) because the dimension fit perfectly with the space I had available in the S1 L67 engine bay. It has a hole in the filter already for the IAT, but you'll have to enlarge it.
We probably have 2 dozen cars on the Forum running this filter now. If you click on the picture in my signature, you'll find some underhood pics showing the filter.

ya, don't pay over $50.00 for that filter... thats the cheapest iwas able to find it for. ALSO, if you buy the rice pipe from autozone it has a hole in it (pluged with rubber upon purchase) that you can use for your sensor. no drilling or enlarging required.

That'* kindof conflicting information, Darrel. If you buy the RX4750, which has an IAT hole, why on earth would you use the hole in the rice pipe for your IAT?
