Putting this SC on my 93
Regarding this topic: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=55695
Anyone know how much modification I would need to put this SC on my 93?

youd have more success on dropping a pulley size on your current car

you will need a different EGR tube for sure
Tuning might be tough cause the car dosnet know the new airflow......Willwren has swapped SC'*, and he would know better...i know there are a few problems to work out tho
the charger and the TB are a different diameter than the 93 that you have, as i have said you would be better off porting your LIM and SC and dropping a pulley size

The EGR is one problem (although easily overcome with a custom gasket). Fueling and PCM control is another issue. Lucky for me, my Jet Stage 2 set the stage perfectly for me, HOWEVER, I have alot of other stuff done as well, so I can't gaurantee your success.
Keep in mind that so far I'm the only member here who has fully swapped without lingering tuning issues. But it wasn't easy to get the bugs out.
All of my conversion topics are well-documented here. Yes, it can be done. How much my other work contributed to my success I can't tell you until someone else tries.
Both previous two attempts had to rely on an AFC controller to run, and even with that, they did not run well.

Sorry about posting in wrong place (at the time I was looking for a yes/no/pita but now realize its not that simple to answer). Thanks for the advice.
I presume from your responses that snout length and intake manifold bolt up is same for both?
I have been toying with the idea of a custom intercooler, since I have the fabrication resources available to me. If I do go down that path, I realize I will have tuning issues to address anyway and was thinking a gen 3 wouldn’t be much more trouble.
As always though, whether or not I decide to take on this challenge depends on how much free time I can scrounge up.

An intercooler won't cause any tuning issues, but it'll cause you some other headaches. I already have one designed, but there'* a PITA issue involving the accessory bracket and how it attaches to the nosedrive. Not only that, but you need custom brackets and fuel rail extensions to hold the fuel injectors in. Depending on how thick your intercooler plate is, you'll have issues with EGR tube length. You also need to decide ahead of time how you're going to deal with the coolant paths.
The Gen3 will bolt up to your LIM, and the nosedrive is identical. Your TB will not bolt to it, so you need to convert to the 94/95 TB, which then causes you problems with the MAF sensor. Your PCM will not be able to decipher the new flow from the 92/93 MAF sensor, and may have problems with a 94/95 MAF sensor. Your PCM may also have issues trying to deliver enough fuel (injector management).
