either that or a smaller belt... the pulley is usually cheaper, while the belts are more readily available..
if you dont do one of those, your belt will just slip giving you less power

What do I need a scan tool for?? shouldnt I be able to just run it like that??? Ill get the oversized pulley then. My fuel pressure is good and my Em'* are crack free. We checked em when we did the tranny swap.

Is adjusting the KR a step by step with the scan tool??? or how do i do it? I will wait a week or so to buy the scan tool...paycheck issue.

KR isn't something to 'adjust'.
You use the scantool to see if you have it, then fix it mechanically.
You need to know your fuel pressure, repair the cracks in your EM'*, and buy a scantool BEFORE you get a pulley.
Report your fuel pressure and KR numbers here, then we'll help you get it in good shape for the smaller pulley. Then if you have KR after the pulley swap, you gotta go after it again.

KR is something all of us with smaller pulleys constantly watch. It gets worse in hot and humid conditions. You have to be on it ALL the time from pulley down and beyond.
KR, if not dealt with, can slowly destroy your motor. It'* a risk, and a way of life at the same time.

oh... :? ok.... ill watch that when i add the pulley. Cuz im moving to Sac soon and we all know its kinda hot up there. So again...what exactly is knock retard????
