Performance shift mode research update
JSeabert and I have NOT swapped switch pod YET, but in comparing shift points, it looks as if ALL cars shift at 5500 with WOT. The performance mode on 'switchable' cars ALLOWS this to happen. Economy, or normal mode LOWERS the shift points to about 45rpm, if you have this option. We're still going to swap pods, but it looks as if this is gospel.
What does this mean to you? If you don't have the switch, you aren't going to gain any performance by doing this. You'll only buy a little less wear and tear during everyday driving.
When we finish our 'research', well post the hard data
