the downside to a drilled tstat is that it will take you longer to warm up the car.

Hi,
Yes i bled the system. I dont know why or how but, Yes i did install a 180 degree T-Stat from auto zone including a gasket the o-ring is worthless.. Not needed.. The car before ran in town or at highway speed'* at 200 degree'*. Now with the new 180 T-Stat it run'* between 180- 195 i would say, Cant really tell with stock bogus guages. I checked fuel milage and yes i lost 2 mpg (((( Big Deal )))) There isnt really a major loss of power but, it just feel'* slightly sluggish. The car run'* great otherwise.

I'am going to run this for a while and see what highway milage is like. I already know i lost 2 mpg with the 180 T-Stat, but id rather have it run cooler. I never added any fan'*, no extra lower spoiler'* or anything to get my car to add more air...Hey wait a minute I did Hose the hell out of the A/C condensor to get rid of all the bugs. This could have helped air flow..

Did you change the t-stat around the same time you put the SSEi badge on?? Because it could subconsciously make you think it should run like an SSEi but only getting SE performance...

I'm sorry, had to do it....

If I were you, since all the info at performance shops and threads and other automotive forums completely support the idea of running a cooler t-stat, I'd concentrate your efforts into finding what else came unplugged, or anything else you may have done to effect performance, i.e. partial intake blockage due to a bumped tube, etc.

Good luck.

Yes i replaced everything tune up wise, Including the O2 sensor, pcv valve, wires, plugs, T-Stat, Oil & Filter, Air cleaner element, Serp belt....... The car runs fine there is lots of power. It just feels different and it does run cooler. I know alot of you probably think im nuts but, It is what it is. I've been working on and with cars now for 22 year'* and know how to change part'* and diagnose to a certain extent. I ran the car on a snap on scanner and everything check'* out fine....

Thanks,

Dood, the extra weight of the three SSEi badges is causing the loss in MPG. Seriously, the O2 is only good for 50-60k miles. And there'* so many other contributors. I haven't seen ANYONE lose efficiency from this.
