This is absolutely incorrect! Most L36 owners see enough KR stock to make an L67 owner have a heart attack. It isn't uncomon for a L36 to have 5-6* of KR, the good running L36'* see 1-3* of KR (our project car for example). I've only ever seen Modded ones run with NO KR.

Granted this time of year will help, but not ZERO!
just to add to this, I rented a 2006 buick lacrosse with a L26. The car with only 5,000 miles on had 5 degrees of knock retard at WOT ( yes I scanned a rental, me and buickman104 were curious)

No. The static compression ratio of the L27 is only 8.5:1, just like the L67'*, but without boost. The L36 is 9.4:1.

I know at least the 95 bonnie pcms run less timing than the GPGTs.
I personally don't think theres any reason to have a powerlog over a front pem on a n/a car,

Yea, that is very true about the lower timing and what not. Well i have already purchased it and plan on putting it on. I hope i dont have anything negative come out of it. I was hoping to put it on already but a few things came up so hopefully this weekend. As for the n/a part in the future i do plan on changing that. I plan on running some spray in it and i do want the exhaust to flow as good as it can. Maybe a front pem would have been just as good but for the price i guess i will try the powerlog. So far i have had no complaints when modding so i guess i am due for one soon. :P

The powerlog is on. As expected no real gain in performance. But the computer hasnt learned it yet. There is a nice difference in the exhaust though. When i rev it up there is no more popping and raspyness in the exhaust. That alone is worth the 100 dollars. The front manifold looked horrible. I couldnt believe how bad the fronts were, what was gm thinking . Also there was some weight reduction, the front heatshield weighed about 1 pound and the front engine mount was about 1-2 pounds and the difference from the stock front and the powerlog was 5.1 pounds. That is about 7-8 pounds of weight saved right there.

That is about 7-8 pounds lighter over the drive wheels.... what were you thinking???!!!

I hope you have good experience with the Plog. Be sure to keep us updated on how the car reacts to it, and whether or not you have to do some fueling adjustments.

And by the way.... I think it'* "skew," not "skrew."

Keep a sharp eye on your spark plugs in the meantime.

Yea i will keep an eye on the plugs. i talked to zoomer and he said that i probably wouldnt gain anything from it without the skewing but he said there would be no ill side effects. I asked about running lean in the front banks and what not and he said no. He said everything shuold be alright. But i am going to be putting new spark plugs in pretty soon. I am going to drive it like this for a while then i will switch the plugs and post some pictures of the old plugs. When i was changing the front manifold out i pulled a few of the plug wires to get it out easier, and i noticed that the plugs were old as hell, and they looked to be champion spark plugs. I have all new autolight 605'* in the back seat that are going to be going in soon.

PS- about weight, yea it is over the front wheels but that is nothing compared to when i delete the a/c (have the pulley sitting right here). I figure that is going to be around 20-30 pounds right there. I hope that doesnt cause any traction problems. But this car needs to go on a diet.
