Well, hate to go against the grain, but if you hear mine and hear Ryans, once the clips get up...
In this case, mine (magnaflow) is smooth, Ryan is describing his as rough.
Aviator has heard mine too...I doubt he would call it rough :?
I wonder why the differences :?

A Magnaflow on a V8 will sound different than a Magnaflow on a V6...

I'm not aware of anyone running one here for comparison.

Checking in...
With my MagnaFlow and ANSA tips, I got plenty of low growl at idle.
It got irritating at 2000rpm.
Revving it up sounded good, especially at 3000-3500rpm.
Letting off the gas quickly netted some really nasty rice-crackle-pop...
until I put on a CHERRY BOMB behind the cat in the long section of pipe.
It immediately made the exhaust note mellower with no popping.
That was months ago and it still sounds good.
I still don't have a new sound clip of that yet.
The original clip is in my Uncle'* computer and it was a bitch to download and find a place to get it posted.
Trust me on the Cherry Bomb idea, though.
It worked out nicely.
Good Luck.

Allmach tige has a dynomax, it'* almost louder at idle then high revs!?!
A cherry bomb is red pipe looking thing, it'* a glass pack pretty much, some people run them on their own (lotsa trucks and 5.0l mustangs are ok with them too) but it helps quiet it down, and with reverb.
