which muffler do i need

take a look at the Hooker Aero chamber muffler i have the 3" one on my car
they do have a 2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2"
also look at the FlowTech Afterburner not much money and sounds good

well i think i found a magnaflow thaltll work. its 5x8x18 though, the overall all length on it is 24 inches, cause its got 3 inches of pipe on each side....all this meaning...that since the stock muffler body is 24 inches long that i should be able to fit the new one in just fine, using every last inch of stock pipe that is the plan would be to cut the stock pipe just as close as can be to the stock muffler on the inlet side, then make up the difference on the outlet side using the stock pipe on that side, there shouldnt be any difference really, and if there were itd be my fault but the mount on the outlet pipe cut be cutoff and re-attached to compensate....i know that makes no sense reading it, but its all up here *points to head* i promise
