Mellotone? - AD_BEAR AND RIDIC, YOUR COMMENTS ARE REQUESTED
I have an appointment to have the "dual" exhaust installed in my car this Friday. This is essentially adding another muffler. I am going to have the OE one replaced and a new one added, the brand the shop owner recommened was "Mellotone". Google turns up little, anyone here hear of them? Know of them? Recommend them?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Here is the problem with that. Flowmaster says yes, you can put in one of the single in dual out mufflers and run dual tips no problem,
|E |
|E |(from engine)
[MM]
[MM](muffler)
[MM]
ITI ITI (two outlets)
but if would have to be installed more towards the center of the vehicle so the tips could run out to both sides. Apparently there is'nt enough room/space for that to fit? You can't put two flowmaster 40'* in becuase of the way the "scavange" (Flowmaster says it creates a vacuum to create additional power, with the way that both would be installed (coming off a Y split on the main exhaust) you would have a dominate muffler and a weaker muffler and create the opportunity for backfire.)
Or is someone B.*.'ing me.

The guy sezs it will sound like a flowmaster 40/50..
I don't care about the brand, and the performance gains are not my highest concern, so I will probably go with this. As I told Jim, I am going to take some before and after audio/video and upload somewhere so everyone can hear before and after.
