Looking to Race My 2000 Bonneville Need Some Help
I have a stock, naturaly asperated, 2000 Pontiac Bonneville that I need help to get ready to race on October 14. I have managed to locate performance headers, coils, wires, and shift kit. I need to find a functional ram air hood, and other performance parts. I am going up against corvetts and other muscle cars. My shop wants to prove that you don't have to pay throught the nose or sacrifice your family car for a high performance vehicle. Any help would be greately appreciated.

You won't find a ram air hood for our cars...it would have to be completely custom. And it really wouldn't do too much, especially since you're NA. What kind of race is this anyway? I don't see you competing very well with Vettes and muscle cars with an L36, but you could find many performance parts for it. Your shop is right though, you don't have to pay $50,000 for a fast car.

you gonna Need ALOT of $$$$$$$$$$4 to make a L36 fast....
you may want consider a L67 top end swap, or a STS turbo system...cause the L36 just cant make the power of a boosted car

Thanks
We are trying to find a bolt on super or turbo to get more horses along with nos. It is the Allegany County yearly Dice Run. It consists of 1/4 mile raceing and 100 mile circle track race. It happens Every year in october they work hand in hand with Freedom raceway, watkins glen, and Holland speed way. The rules are very simple. The cars must be street legal and must be registered in NY. Last year we turned a lot of heads when we turned up in a 1991 Geo Storm. They all laghed when we pushed it out of the trailer but they wernt laghing when they herd the motor fire over and shake the windows of the registration trailer. We droped an LS1 crate motor in this poor little car and still made the exterior anyway look loke factory. It passed emissions and we were able to get it registered just in time but I don't think I will ever try that again. Took 6 months of fab just to get the darn motor to fit under the hood let alone the trany and rear end on a front wheel drive car.

Honestly you will need to find a L67 topend and swap it on, and then you have to worry about the Trans....
Honestly you would be better off Selling the SE and getting an SSEI....honestly i see no way with in reason to make that car faster.....you NEED to start with an SSEI....and here is the reasoning...the SSEi will handle better seeing that you are in a circle track too than your current and its SOOOO easy to make a L67 fast

or
I think PFYC.com has a turbo kit by Cartech or Cartune or something like that for a Grand Prix. Might take some mods to work like it should in a Bonny.

We ahve to use this car
We have to use this car due to our Sponser donated us this car. We already tested the car around the track and it seems to hold tight in th corners as is. We got around 130 before we noticed alot of play.
