Ported heads, PEMS, PLIM, rockers if they exist, stroker kit... I am not 100% positive that all these can be done or if it would be worth the time and money.

I agree that these are probably not worth the time. We've already done a full tuneup, and his TB looks great. Maybe someone will want to buy the engine & transmission for his L67 swap, then?

you could get a cam... Could port the heads... Could add an intake... on and on...
Will it be worth it? Hard to say....
These LG3 motors got a lot of designs from the GN motors and Buick Racing...
But these motors did have some issues.... These issues were corrected with the inception of the 38000 in 88..
Might be better off with a complete swap..
Never know.... There may be someone out there that may want a 3.8 LG3

Those are all great points, so this is definitely something to consider thoroughly. I'll let you know what my friend'* decision on this is.
