Big time job to replace the head gaskets...if you have never done soemthing like that before - I wouldnt go for it.
A few questions back asked if the smoke smelled sweet...that is about the best way to see if the white smoke is coolant (again, assuming that you have a good mix in the rad). What does yours smell like?
It will not take much fluid to produce lots of white smoke.
If it is coolant...could be the head gasket or even the head.
You should also look in your rad overflow tank and see if it is contaminated at all. Another place to look is at your oil dip stick...if there is any sludge on it above the oil level then that is an indication of trouble too. Either of these two things indicate that you have a serious problem and need to get it taken care of quick...or risk loosing the bottom end of the motor (read...big $$$).

I have taken automotive tech class before, I know all about torque settings, having to torque in a star pattern, removing the exhaust and intake manifolds to get to the heads. I have a good idea how to do it, but yeah id obviously like the manual
Heres the EASY way to put it.
Is it WORTH it?
Since im only 16, and ive only driven a few cars, my judgement on the feel of the car isnt the greatest, but the car still pulls pretty damn good. I know its a mid 16 second car, and 0-60 in around 9'* and thats what it feels like. The engine doesnt feel shot without power. Although I did remove the MAF screen, and I think I lost some top end. I asked my shop teacher, has a mechanic degree, he said its probably the head gasket, and then i mentioned the intake gaskets, and he said thats a good possibility too.
Then he suggested just driving it till it dies. Im not one to throw away something just because labor is needed. Im not lazy when it comes to cars, ill do it myself.
Again, is it worth it?
