just some idea'* i have dreamed up (anyone from sioux falls SD? )
So im still quite the new guy here and i am always thinking about cool stuff to do to my bonnie that will make it stand out and get approval from the street racing people in town lol
so the first thing i was wondering about is now that i have a 3000 watt stereo system in my car would it be a good idea to hook up another battery for "accessory" types of things because i know like bmw'* and some Mercedes have secondary batteries to power all the extra stuff.. any input would be cool
also if anyone lives in the Sioux falls area it would be cool if some Bonneville and GP owners could get together to show off each others cars and maybe cruise around or something i know there are hundreds just here in town so i figured someone is bound to be in the forum i was thinking maybe sometime later in November on a clear weekend.
also i am on a very tight budget right now due to losing my job and my front tires are bald as hell so i was curious if anyone had some suggestions on some 215/65/15'* for cheap..
also weight is a big issue in the bonnie.... any ideas for useless things that can be scrapped for weight
i know its alot of stuff but i figure its a hell of a conversation post lol

Extra battery is a good idea...but, you should also increase your alternator size as well.
Tires...hit the junk yard or pull-a-part. Also, check out local tire shops and see if they have any gently used tires they will sell for a wing and a prayer.
Weight reduction on the Bonnie depends on what you can live with or without. For the most part, unless you are going to hit the track, most of everything that your cars has is something you should keep.

You'd gain more power by pulling your system and not adding additional weight with another battery than you'll gain with the AC removal. rkr
DanThurs did a writeup on removing AC though. Check to ensure you can get a bypass pulley for your year. The Series 2 engine bypass pulley does not fit properly on your bracketry.

105 amps is pretty low, thats the stock L36 IIRC, look for 140 amp or higher if you want to keep your batteries charged, adding a second one can be tricky because you want to isolate it to only power the sound system but still charge it off the one alternator in the car, someone else might know a little more about that

Here'* how to remove the AC system. https://www.gmforum.com/t278805/ You can remove the spare tire and jack. But keep in mind that leaves you stranded if you have a flat.

Hey, if your planning on running use tires you better check them out very carefully. I blow out is a mother. If the tire has been sitting for a while beware. I had two blow outs and I'm telling you that a 60 MPH blow-out could kill. Beware of hot weather heat expansion. ...and please, be aware of the biggest warning signs. a bump feeling when moving. It'* felt best when moving 5 to 8 MPR. Besides, if you do make it out alive, insurance will be your next worry. Blow-out leaves big, bad, horrible damages.
