JUST MAY NOT NEED A LSD
well guys, i went to the track yesterday, nov 2 nd.
tried out my new slicks. my best 60' time was a 1.955. worst was a 1.998 out of 5 runs i made. it never spun a tire off the line. i was very pleased with that.
but.............. i think its fuel pump time. after my car hit about 4800 rpms, my A/F meter started into the red[lean], i really dont think my stock pump is keeping up with the fuel demand that i need now. my 1/8 mile times where from 9.33-9.40 sec but i couldnt get out of the high 14'* to save my butt. out of 5 runs, i ran a best 14.86 and worst was a 14.94[on the brakes in an elim. run]. they only let us dial in to the tenth so i dialed a 14.9
made it to the third round and broke out. killed the guy off the tree and ran a 14.873 with a 14.9 dial.
it ran consistant but running out of fuel at about 300'. it launched like a mule. i had the G tech running too, it pulled 1.1 G off the line.

What were you running your slicks at(psi wise). Also in what geare & rpm are you launching at. Im surprised to see that your slicks would slow you down about .6 hundreths of a sec. If you got true slicks I would run them about 13/15 psi, but if they are the radials about 18/20 psi. Are you just going to upgrade to the Walbro fuel pump. Its only $130 dollars.

i started at 19 psi and they were low and running on the edges, so i raised them to 21 and they worked great. the slicks didnt slow me down, i was running out of fuel. i think im gonna go with a LS1 granitelli pump that flows 255lph.
the tires i have a 22x8x15 michey thompson ET DRAGS. they are a true slick and made for FWD cars. but low profile, the tech guy at the line thought they were flat with 19 psi in them lol.
also i was launching at 2500 rpm * and shifting at 5700

On the MP112 motor we saw this weekend, the guys working on it, said the stock fuel system was pretty much gone cause it couldn't handle the 500 HP behemoth. They were still working on fuel pressure among other things. Not a bad call. Jeffrey you woulda liked to see that monster.... They spun tires at 40mph under 1/2 throttle....

There'* a treat for you. About $20k into the drivetrain.... MP112 blower, about 25% bigger then the m92, custom intercooler, fuel system, intense EVERYTHING. 100 RPM higher idle, couldn't run long without attention, and being tuned up. Think wren has loud */C whine? This thing has */C GROAN...

when i had 19 psi in them, the tech guy at the line wasnt gonna let me run at first, he thought they were flat. these tires are different than the 26" tires you have on the gtp. these are low profile 22" tires for the FWD cars by M/T. the tag on them said to start with 16 psi min with a car that weighs over 3000 lbs. mine is 3800 with me in it and being FWD , it puts more weight on the tires to make them look flat. with 21 psi , i still didnt spin a tire. my best 60' before was a 2.06 but at the track, i could only get an ave. between 2.14-2.19 sec. i didnt bring it up to full stall speed, with just trying them for the first time, i wanted to see how they would react.
