Ryan made me a custom chip for my mods, and my gearing change. Plus he set the top speed governor to 250mph. All for $95. Plus, he will give you a full years worth of tuning. Send him an email. He is well worth the price.!!

You have two options. The 6-pack for 400 bucks, or a stage 1 or stage 2 chip for 200.
Beware though. While the chips are great, your top speed limiter being removed won't buy you much. Some depends on gearing, but you'll be horsepower/aero limited to not much more than 115/120mph anyway. So you have to ask yourself if it'* worth it.

Little more expensive way... TunerCat software, an EPROM eraser and reader/burner. That'* the "roll your own" approach.

Also i appreciate the quick responses!
*edit* what if i had a 96+ ssei? would i still have to take the same steps to remove the governor?

No, it would not be a chip, it would have to be a PCM. The whole thing. 92-95 uses an eprom inside the PCM. The 96 and newer don't.
Yes, if you add hp, you'll be less aerodynamically limited. I'll run calculations later on what you'll have to add. I have the drag coefficient and frontal area of the 92-99 Bonneville.
The Bonneville with the L27 wasn't intended to be a salt-flat racer.
