Default Intake, pulley size, etc....and a PLEA!

Sent to me by a member via PM:

can you tell me where to get the same one you got just not red everyone keeps telling me they dont make one for the 93 ssei since im here can you tell me where to get the smaller supercharger pulley ive also ben told that i shouldnt put one of thse on my 93
My reply:
My intake pipe was made by ADTR. This unit was produced as a 'test fit', and he'* not in production. You'll have to have one custom made, or buy a unit from another vendor. It really needs to be made for a Bonneville. A Grand Prix intake isn't long enough. I'll be writing an article on intake specs if you're interested in having your own made, so just hold tight.

The filter itself is from K&N. The part number is in my signature. I made the heat shield/CAI myself.

You can go with a smaller pulley (2.2" minimum) from www.pulleyboys.com, but it'* also almost a requirement to ALSO do the following before or during this upgrade:

1. 180° thermostat
2. Custom intake (with heatshield)
3. Oversized idler pulley from ZZPerformance ( www.zzperformance.com). The stock idler doesn't give you enough belt wrap around the dinky 2.2" pulley on a 92 or 93 SSEi.

It would also help to do your exhaust before the pulley, but it isn't necessary. The intake is a must, the thermostat and idler pulley are strongly suggested.

Pulleys are available at www.pulleyboys.com , and read the info in Techinfo. There are alot of articles that pertain to what you're trying.
Now the PLEA:

Please post your questions in open forum. The Staff and Gearheads are becoming overwhelmed by members who ask for one-on-one attention via PM, IM, or Email. This absorbs alot of time on our part, and defeats the purpose of this forum. How can others learn from your experiences if they're not posted in public?

I am currently getting an average of 12 personal requests for assistance each day, and spend so much time dealing with them that I have less and less time to spend here.

On behalf of all of us, I thank you for your consideration.
