yeah I knew where the MAF was ... and I found the IAT it was in the bottom of the airbox

my MAF is seperate from the TB.... ... that little metal pipe comming off the intake(into side of valve cover)... between the MAF and the TB in that convoluted rubber chunk of intake pipe, looks to be like was mentioned ... the PCV "unit" I dunno where the valve is in it...

a pic of my motor is on page 2 of this thread...

So has anyone tried leaving the rubber insert on to see if it improves airflow as a velocity stack?

Might try that when I install it this weekend.

Also, what'* the best way to cut this down to size?

Thanks,

A power tool like an angle grinder or dremel would be the easiest to cut with, then maybe a sawzall, then a hacksaw.

I may try the velocity stack idea if i remember it tomorrow lol..

what about this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

Use it with the crappy filter until my bonne is on the road again, then replace it with the K&N model you specified [i'm too lazy to read up].

I know it isn't for my '89, but the water bottles arn't there on mine, they are on the other side, and the only thing on the drivers side that could get in the way is the relay grouping. I know one member relocated it to the fender, which if it gives it a cleaner look, I may do that also.

Any cone with a 3" ID on the pipe attatchement will work. As big as possible doesn't hurt.

It'll work for all 88-99 H body'* for sure. Each car will require it'* own way of making it work but it'll be fine.

88-91 will be the easiest.
