you wont either. Its normally covered up.
the compressor for the bonnes is mounted right below the master cylinder on the H bodies. someone would have to have relocated it to the core support. That is not the factory spot for that compressor

Here is another '95 SSE, In the picture of the engine bay the compressor is in the same spot as mine.

The compressor location changed in 95, but not on the Supercharged models. That happened in 96.

Notice the change in airbox design on the Series 2. That'* what caused the Compressor to move.

Would this work or would it butt up against the back of the radiator considering the angle:

Also, would black soak up heat from the engine compartment???

I'm thinking of doing this. My birthday is soon, so I'll probably have some cash to work with. I mainly just want to learn more about the intake, and to my understanding this is a fairly basic mod.

Let me just ask if I've got the parts down right (this is for an 89 bonne). I need a reducer to go from the throttle body (is the 89 size the same as the 92+?) to the rice pipe (and I found the one with the guady orange packaging on ebay). Then I cut about 2-3" off the pipe, and attach the K&N RX-4750 to the end of the rice pipe. The IAT sensor will attach the filter correct? Since the K&N filter is rather pricey, is there any other decent filter with an IAT spot and good heat shield potential, or is the K&N really the only good choice?

Now, in my case is the heat shield neccessary? I'm all city stop-and-go driving. Since it'* winter right now, could I hold off on that part for awhile? I've built quite a few things out of acrylic so it won't really be a problem for me, but I was just wondering.

Thanks guys!

you could hold off on the heat shield while you have cold temps outside, but it will be even more necessary for you to install one once it gets warm because you do alot of city driving. IF you did highway driving you would have some fresh air getting in there.

yes everything should be the same TB wise. I dont have the IAT in the filter and I am within a few degrees of ambient temp. so dont worry about that. K&N is the only filter to go with, dont waste your money on anything else. heatshields are easy to make and I would recommend one

www.ajusa.com

K&N RX-4750:
Checker Auto: $81 + tax
AJUSA: $55.25 paid for and shipped.

I ordered mine on thursday, got the confirmation that it shipped today.

I also bought my coupler off of ebay, and the blue rice pipe in the gaudy packaging.
