Hypertech performance chip?
I need help! I want to surprise my boyfriend and get him the performance chip he'* been wanting. I know he wanted a hypertech street runner performance chip but I can't seem to find one for his year! I can't even find one that'* not Hypertech. He drives a 95 bonneville SE. I don't want to spend too much money on it, but I want it to be worth it at the same time and not something cheap! I don't know much about cars and I came across your website on my searches. I figured this would be the best place to get information that will really surprise my guy! Please help!

95 is going to be a really tough year to find a PCM for, it was the bastard year where it was neither fully OBD I or OBD II, but something GM called "OBD 1 and a 1/2"...because it has things from both.
There may not even be a PCM available for that year, but I could be mistaken, someone else with more knowledge will chime in shortly, just hang tight.
I wish I had a girlfriend firstly...then secondly I wish I had one that would scour the internet trying to find parts for my car! haha

They will set you up and do it for very cheap. If the prices are still the same as they were 2 months ago when I last talked to them the going price for a 1995 computer was like $50 including standard shipping.
What they will need is the car to be scanned and given information from different sensors and different settings your BF wants.
They are fairly knowledgeable and although I have never tested any of their products I would recommend them.
Since you probably don't know what the parameters of different sensors are you can probably talk to GMTuners and get a gift certificate for a free programming and your BF can have the car scanned and give GMTuners the info for them to program a E-prom for him.
Good luck.
