Very good points. All very true.

The funniest part (before he put the SSEi badges on) was that he raced (and creamed) two punk Asians in a crappy, riced out Honda Civic who were laughing at his car. That Honda must have been slower than a Geo Metro, because I don't know how that happens.

Wren has points about posin...however.. keep them on if you like them. Afterall..there'* technically an SE with H4U package parked in my garage sporting SLE badges and another 100+ badges from various other areas that said Bonneville or Pontiac.

However...a slight problem we have. You are not allowed to wear SSEi badges with that monsterous flame shooter attached to the back of the car. Or is it a potatoe gun or grapefruit shooter. Hand over the badges.

Now...back on topic of your intake. The only year that had the silly cover over airbox pcm cover was 96. Therefore the majority of 96-99 airboxes can not be gutted out the side like you have done w/o it being overly visible.

I'm saying go ahead and leave them. Was joking about the tip though.

thanks billboost, as for the tip, i dont like it either, but when i had my magnaflow muffler put on the guy called me and asked me if i wanted him to put a tip on it, and i said, well i dont want a skinny looking single tip, but i dont want a ricer tip either......

then he told me that he had a cool looking dual tip that wasnt very big, so i said ok, when i picked my car up i was disgusted but this guy is the mechanic my dad has gone to for years and he welded the tip on, so i didnt have the balls to tell him it looked hiddeous, some hopefully soon i will get around to having a new tip welded in place of that one

You ARE telling people you have an SSEi by having them on your car. As stated, it'* your car, so you can do what you like, but respect will not come easy for you on this Forum if you leave them. We have 6000+ members here, and you're the only one with SSEi badges on an SE.

As far as badging an SE as an SLE, it'* a different ballgame when the SE has the SLE package from the factory.

Back on the topic of your intake, can we see what you did INSIDE? Particularly what filter you used? We're quite good at building these things, and could probably give you a few points of improvement.

well, i am in summer school right now, but when i get out me and blownbuick will take some pics of the inside, it is a ebay special intake, so it is a pretty cheap filter, but it seems to be really good quality

Hope there'* room for engine flex if its that tight..

I'm curious to see the pics to see how it looks on the inside of the airbox also.

Hamsterboy...(aka Drifter) ... He has the 96 PCM cover that covers 1/2 the airbox..so it'* very stealth.

On the filter... I'll be some to the punch and suggest you are careful about it...some of them hold water very well....they should repel it.
