The crank sensor... that throws an error code 41 doesn it?
If so, then yes it has been replaced... back in Dec 2000.

Hrmm.... crank sensor.... what'* the usual cost to replace one of those?
I don't ever remember that failing, off the top of my head.
Could/would it have been replaced when I got the new engine?
It also could have been replaced during one of the many (a lot of things were done and the bill was expensive) deals.

I dunno man, I still think its a fuel delivery thing. I'm not sure how the crank sensor is involved...but I'm no expert.
In my estimation its either throttle postioning or fuel delivery
