gutted airbox
ok so there is a lokk of talk in here about gutted airbox'* and people who have them, what exactly does that mean, how do you go about doing it. is there a step-bystep procedure in tech know how?

I would recommend not butchering your stock airbox. Take it off and store it for future use. Then go out and either buy a CAI pipe for a hundred bucks or go cheap like me and use a few PVC plumbing fittings with a cone filter and make yourself a real low restriction air inlet that works as good as it sounds.
The filter is the most expensive part.

Ditto. Do it right the first time. You'll end up with an intake anyway, sooner or later. I did mine in stages, so I saw the power benefits step by step, but given the chance to do it again, go right to the pipe and cone.

see i thought about going CAI, but the only thing im not thrilled about is the cone filter, i mean they're expensive and cleaning them, and after a while doesnt the filter get damaged from cleanings and stuff?

No more than a standard K&N replacement filter, which you'd have to use to gain any benefit from a gutted airbox. Cheaper cone filters can be found on the internet.

It works pretty well I got alot of top end. If you do this get a element...
You definitely want to shield the filter from the hot engine compartment air if you don't want to defeat the benefits of an open cone.

how much would it cost to make a CAI, cuz i dont exactly have a whole lot of money to spend.
otherwise I think I might just run some ducting up to the intake snorkle.
