Should I look to try to pick up a airbox at a junkyard or somthing to gut and swap mine out? or does anyone out there have a extra one laying around or a gutted one you'd like to get rid of?
And does anyone have detailed (pictures would be great) plans to do this?

Gutting will make the car a little louder when it first starts up. The power change is nice though. If you want to know what it'll sound like..go out when the car is cold and remove the airbox.. start it up for a minute.. That'* the sound you'll hear for the first 30 seconds to a minute when you start it with a gutted box.
And if you are looking for a box.
I've got an airbox for you..
Would you like it pregutted or not? Lash asked for one and wanted to gut himself..I marked it up for him to know where to cut and gut.
LMK.

You can use pretty much any means necessary just don't screw up the box or the flange for the filter

By the way I just gutted my air box...haven't tested it out on the open road yet..just a loop around the neighborhood...i do hear a bit more of a nice little whine to it..hopefully i'll feel a few more horses under my gas peddle when i take it out
