Tranny shop is waiting for me whenever I'm ready. Not quite there yet.
I'm having an idle problem and strongly suspect my IAC. Can someone with a 92 or 93 SSEi or Supercharged SSE/SE tell me their IAC counts at cold idle? I know this isn't a porting problem, as the throttle plate is closed at cold idle. Only the IAC is keeping it alive, and my IAC sat around all winter un-used. I can throttle up and hold idle, but it has a hard time by itself.

On these newer 3800'* you should be able to unplug the MAF and have the car retain its idle.... If you were to rev the engine with the MAF unplugged, the PCM would not know that the engine has gone back to idle as it has no info from the MAF, it will then stall out... If you slowly brought the idle down and the IAC is functional then the car should idle in the area that the PCM is calling for... When the MAF sees no flow or a serious drop that tells the PCM that you have let off the throttle and allows the car to idle...
Bill I agree with you and think that you may have an IAC issue....
Is the IAC on the 95 the same as the one on the 93?
The one on my 91 and 95 look to be the same... Just a thought
*&^%..... Forgot to add that the IAC will not do a relearn, untill the engine is at normal operating temps and you are over 40 mph... Untill then it may struggle a bit, but it should be able to idle... Does it stall out or just run ultra slow?

Stalls 3 or 4 times, then stays running, hunting for an idle. That'* what got me thinking that direction. No chance of running at 40 mph for a few days.
