Forced Air
Yes or No?
If I was to build a forced air scoop and blow air on to my intake under hood, to keep it cool, is that a bad thing cramming air under a hood without air vents to disperse the air . Will it efect the aeordynamics or anything related or not related. Not only with my car but my buddys 04 GTP COMP G.

first of all u would not get enough air flow through the ram air to lower the air temp enough to feel a difference, but unless u put the outlet a 1/4 of an inch from the intake all of the air would just escape through the finder wells and it would just be a big waste of money

My findings are quite the opposite. Read my topic I linked to. All the data is there.

A simple set up can be done quite inexpensively. It can't hurt as long as you design it so it does not scoop water into your intake during the wet season.

u r right willren i have not done extensive testing i don't have to it is common since!! our cars even the N/A one pull in to much air for any ram air system to work. u would have to be doing prob. 120 for any type of ram air to have any effect on hp gains as far as forcing more air into the intake. but as far as getting cold air into the intake yes it would help a little but like i said b4 i would be such a slight improvement that you prob couldn't tell a difference!!

That'* NOT the point of all this. I'm using ram-air for COOLING the SC and TB, as well as to positive-pressure my shielded airbox to prevent engine bay heat from getting in.
willwren what do you do when it rains
Seriously, your stock airbox sucks in moisture from the headlight when it rains. And water injection is a GOOD THING. You won't ever get nearly enough to hydrolock the motor. You'd have to park in a lake for that to happen. Even if my scoops are submerged, they don't 'pull' water up into the engine bay. Go back and read that topic, look at the pics, and you'll see how the system works.
