Finally started
Well this weekend i finally got my flowmaster exhaust on and my 3.4 pulley put on. The pulley i got was 35.00 and it came off a m112 charger that HiTek motorsports is selling for 400 bucks. Real noticable change in hp though, the only thing im worried about is the computer adapting correctly. so far no kr. Can anyone help me out with suggestions what i could have missed with these mods? Or what would be the most major thing i can do next. I was leaning toward cam and intercooler. Also i was told that changing just the valve springs and only the intake valves is the best power gain on the dyno. I may b wrong but am very intrested what i can do or what i should have done?

What kind of car is this on? A bonneville? :?:
If you are posting about a w-body make sure you do the U-bend delete.
What are you using to check for KR?
Take a look at the level 2 package from INTENSE...or Level 3...that gives you an idea of what supporting mods you need as you go up.

03 bonneville, sorry i did not list that. I have been having problems on getting my profile updated like most of you guys. i dont know how to get my specs and pictures on my profile? But i have driven about 10 miles so far and huge differance. Im wondering if i might have jumped too far with the pulley? My best bud works at a dealership and have access to dealer specific scanners.(GM tech2) He will be checking over everyhing on saturday again and I'll let you know th kr count if any? we had to custom make the u bend because the flowmaster wasn't correct. I did not delete it just bigger. What does that do?

bonnevilles dont have a u-bend.
what supporting mods do you have to go with the pulley?
the KR number we are looking for is just after the shifts or at the upper ends of the gears.

The only mods i have are k&n intake and flowmasters. I'll tell him to check the kr then. What do you think i should do next. Everyone says i'm fine with the 3.4 with what i've done? is that true?

I'd like more specs on the pulley. Particularly the offset or 'backset'. Ours isn't the same as some other applications. If it'* wrong, your belt isn't tracking right. What kind of car was it intended for?
Even if you don't have KR now, you may later when the weather warms up. You need to scan at least a couple times a year, and NEVER run anything less than 91 octane. 92 or higher is preferred with a smaller pulley. And you still may have KR when it warms up.
At that point, you'll have to do more mods to open up your exhaust flow (not mufflers), or go to a 3.5" pulley.
What did you use to remove your old pulley?

The belt is traking just fine. I already did the exhaust but not the downpipe, i'm still loooking for one. The exaust is from cat back, 3 inch. resonator is now a high flow moroso resonator. It seems to be running fine right now and i will keep checking the kr. I have only found 2 manufacturers of scan gauges that monitors kr. MSD Dash Hawk and aerospeed.

well i did what u said and checked the knock retard during shifting but also checked it under 25% 50% and 100% load under 100% the knock retard jumped between 2% and 4%. is that bad? It did not count how many times though? Im planning on getting an intercooler from zzp very soon. What will the intercooler accomplish fully?

Intercooler? With a 2.4" pulley? Most people don't go intercooler until they're at LEAST in the 13'* with rockers or a cam, headers, and all the goodies. Intercoooler is one of the last things you'll do.
2-4 degrees of knock retard this time of year will spell VERY bad news come spring and summer. You have problems. Time to go to a 3.5" pulley or PEM'*.

The intercooler goes under the supercharger and cools the intake charge. However, most people with mods like yours will either start out with a rocker or cam setup and go from there. To each his own though.
