Ah ok, the Gen III SC'* have a vaccuum only BBV

since you have the electrical BBV you would be able to run the controller

The solenoid bypass valve is part of the L67 engine. See this picture from bonneville picture tab.

The solenoid bypass valve is just to the left of the radiator neck on top of the engine. The bottom vacuum hose off of the bypass valve attaches to it.

I might have misunderstood the tone of the conversation. Before you spend $200 on it, just remember you won't gain any performance with it.

Well he wants to drop a smaller pulley in and then limit boost where you would commonly see knock

but now that I'm thinking about it in the lower RPMs you won't see as much boost anyway so why not get any KR you have now tuned out then drop a smaller pulley then tune again, that would cost you less than $200 in gas

Limiting the boost makes no sense at all. Just to run a smaller pulley? Bad idea. The smaller the pulley, the harder it is for the engine to spin it. That'* robbing horse power. You run the largest pulley you can while holding about 18* of timing with out KR.
