dual muffler exhaust?
Can we do a dual muffler exhaust like a GP? I was thinking of going that route. Is it any better? As in going to a y pipe, then to dual mufflers?

yes just do it were the exhaust goes to the left and around to the muffler. put hte y there and run new piping tothe new mufflers. you will need to make hangers for the mufflers though. I really dont think that there is any performance gain, but may have a deeper tone which is always good

i know it looks like it should sound good, but i just feel like that might be a little to free-flowing. With the 3.8 it sounds raspy with too much outflow.. i, personally, wouldn't worry about that unless you have some performance mods to back it up. Looks hott though.

Well i do plan to have more mods to back it up, I am planning on doing either an S1X or VS cam in the next couple of months. I have the ported manifold. But besides that, it seems like more of a clean setup for some reason. If not dual mufflers, I plan on running 3" piping, from the header back, so the DP, Cat, and flex pipe. I was looking at the flowmaster 40 series, it looks like it would fit. I am looking for a very agressive sound, so either 40 series, or 80 series with no resonator.

If you left the stock cat in place with the dual muffler set up, would it reduce the restriction but still have enough back pressure to save tq?
