Doc, don't sweat the mileage. It should improve as the motor breaks in.

hehe IIIIII dunno. I ran it all over town today and never put my foot in it and I'm figuring it out at around 9mpg around town hahaha. Of course I'm running my fans probably 90% of the time trying to keep the beast cool. It really wants to just over heat. I only have the large fan attached right now and running it parked won't go under about 205-210 on the dash. I've seen it hit 200 once going 50 but that was short lived. Right now for the break in its got the stock t-stat in so I guess thats about normal but as soon as I stop it starts moving up again. I've got probably a 55/45 water/glycerol mix because believe it or not water actually works better at displacing heat but even with that keeping it cool is tough. I've checked several times for bubbles in the system and check the level every time I stop (along with every other fluid) but I guess for now I've got to constantly watch the gauge. Ya know I really just can't believe its done. Its hard to enjoy it though because I'm watching this gauge and that gauge and "whats that shimmer?" and "why'd it do that" and check fluids and watch the rpm, make sure you hit mid-high rpms with no load, be careful, check the gauge again, turn fans on, check fluids again, turn fans off and aaaaahhh its so nerve racking to drive right now! I just wanna hit 1000mi so I can start having more fun and not worry! I'm going to buy an aftermarket fan setup plus an adjustable temp switch to keep the temps in check but thats not till next week (or this weekend maybe). Oh hey will, how about a visit this weekend?? I have a 4 day (fri and mon off) so me and the "Dinner maker", as I so lovingly call her, are wanting to take a trip somewhere so I figured hell why not get the two quick cars together, let em talk a little hehe. If you're up for it lemme know what day this weekend you have some free time and I'll take a trip down. But there is a charge for meeting my car . You have to film some video and put it on your computer for the other fine people to see. Sound fair? Lemme know whats up. So anyway its up to about 92miles on the new engine and it feels like its starting to loosen up a little, I just don't want the walls to glaze over with oil, ya know? So far though nothing really strange has happened. Oh I took it in to get an alignment because it was REALLY bad, I mean it was chirping and peeling out every time I took a corner or hit a bump. So the guy raises it up and hooks a bunch of sensors on it. He'* looking at the numbers frowning and looking under the car and all that and he finally asks "Hey uhh....did this thing get in a major accident or something?" "err...no but I did take most of the front suspension apart" he looked relieved of sorts but yeah apartently everything was off like 3-4" and like 3-5 degrees. It took him nearly 2hours to align the dang thing. Oh well I got outa work for it . I wanna get an audio setup on the computer so you guys can hear this exhaust, those exhaust ports you saw in the picture REALLY make a difference. Nobody I showed it to today could believe it was a V6. When you start it up it sounds like you gave a starving lion a steak. I've got a buddy with a recorder I'll see if I can get it from him today and record some of it. Matter a fact I'll call right now. Hey he'* got it, I'm going to pick it up right now and I"ll record it. Keep close to the computer I'll be back with audio shortly!

Doc, how far of a drive is it? Looks like 3.5 to 4 hours to me. 202 miles. I'm tied up Friday night, but free the rest of the weekend (tentative date with Nascar on Sat night, but I can shift priorities )

PM me your cell, you still have mine? You guys are welcome to spend the night. I have plenty of room!

Have video, will travel! We can even use Jseabert to film for us.

Doc, I'm at work right now, but I'll be home at 10. Hope you're still up. If you're up for this weekend, I'll adjust my schedule accordingly. No problem at all.
