The DAY its done I'm giving it to a well established respectable shop to put in. I already have more than enough $ set aside to do it without any catches. Its just a matter of getting this guy off his *** to put it back together.

I posted the new pics of the port matched exhaust on cardomain.com. You really have to check these things out. They're huge! If you only look at one picture make that it. You can kinda see whats up in my sig pic but cardomain.com lets you zoom in more. Whoohooo. Anyway I stood over his shoulder today and watched him install the cam and all 6 pistons and torque them down properly. I had to do other things today but as I was leaving he was FINALLY starting on port matching the intake. This guy is really getting on my nerves. I think its more that I'm excited to get it back and its already going into the rainy season which lasts till like this time next year but still. Anyway guys go check those two pics out they're about halfway down the page, lemme know what you think. (Sorry 56k I'll work on splitting the pics between pages later)

DAMN! I just posted like 3 paragraphs of junk but when I hit submit it told me to login which I already did! So I lost it all! AHHHH! Okay here is the basics for now and I'll update more later cause I'm tired:
Heads ready to be installed
Several coats of paint for the parts
Dual spring valve springs with 50% more pressure than the stock 80lbs at 1" (Yes! He found some that fit!)
New titanium valve keepers
Intake port matched, not much larger but its ok
Check out the cardomain.com page for pictures. I also revamped the page and included more info and pictures. Check it out!

Well I just got done talking to the engine guy and I've managed to rack up another $1500 in performance parts. Plus if you remember the $2000 on the transmission and the thousands in other parts. This project is creeping up very quickly on $10k. Imagine this started with a budget of $3000 HAH! Here is the condensed list of what went into the engine:
Rod bearings
Main bearings
Cam bearings
ring set
roller lifters
timing set
brass freeze plugs
pistons
head bolt set
exhaust valves
valve springs
rod bolts
misc lubes
oil seal
custom camshaft
valve guides
3 angle valve job
surface heads
intake manifold cleaned and port matched
port match heads & polish
P&R valve guides
bore engine
r&P hard seats
recondition connecting rods
line bore block
balance engine
shot peen rods
Plus we have the complete MSD ignition, new supercharger, 2.2" pulley, nitrous, cleaned balanced and blueprinted fuel injectors, jet stage 2 chip yada yada yada...This is gettin crazy isn't it? I should probably slow down

Oh yeah and I'm taking the car to the shop this week to start putting the engine back in! WHOOOHOOO! Oh and I'm helping with it so it should go fairly quick as long as I can fit it into my schedule. I still have to completely clean out the radiator and trans cooler then its onto installing. All that is this week. Really stay tuned now....
