simple green
I have always used either simple green or super clean. Both work great and wont kill the plants when I rinse off the engine. I clean the engine about 1 time per month (at oil change time). A clean engine is easier to work on and actually does run better. After owning many cars in the last 15 years I have never had a problem with either product causing any problems.

Rinse off the engine? I always thought that spraying water on your engine was a bad thing... how'd you do it? Oh, and where can I find this "Simple Green"?
Thanks a lot guys.

Simple green is a pretty easy cleaner to find. Well at least here in the midwest it is anyway. If you have a Sam'* Club nearby and have a membership I know they will probably have it there. I know we have it here in my store. It will usually be found with the other cleaning products or with the car cleaning products depending on where they want to put it.

so wal mart would probably have it??? I would think that you wouldnt need to worry about covering your electrical components as long as you dont drive the car immeadiatly after you clean it. With the low humidity that we have around here it would air dry pretty well overnight.
