I can blow leaves out of my vents by flipping my fan switch on. It'* pretty freaky. Gave greyhare a good laugh. I can also watch the heat waves from them in the summer. Very obvious. I've measured the heat of the escaping air in the summer without the fans on, and it was pretty high. I just don't recall the actual temp any more. Keep in mind driverjohn had a frozen alternator, and we're still not sure if it was due to the vent location. We didn't have a choice but to put ours where we did because of hood design. We may go to small magnetic vinyl covers for winter. Well, John might. I don't drive my 93 in the winter any more.
Keep in mind on the ram-air feed for the box, you want that box SHIELDED first. The ram air just keeps the box from pulling air from the engine bay. And you may regret the lack of ground clearance if you do them like I did.
Mine is being retired, as is my CAI. Moving on to bigger and better, but only because I'm now outflowing that CAI. I MAY custom build a fiberglass scoop behind the right foglight to continue to feed the cooling duct for the SC/TB. All of these changes were proven to reduce temps.
