Belden Premium Blue 8MM Wires
Well, after hearing Will and Jason mention the # of cases of Taylor Spiro Pro'* going bad lately I decided to check mine Friday evening.
Found I had, get this, 3 broken connectors at the plug end.
So I borrowed my mom'* Park Ultra (gotta love the CAI M62 whine) and ran up to Napa. Asked what the best wires they had in stock were. They pulled out the new (as in newest wire tchnology from Belden) Premium Blue 8MM wires. Asked how much and found they were only $30.xx.
So I bought a set of those and some fresh NGK TR55'* which I gapped at .058". Got them in the car and HOLY SH!#! The car ran about 80% smoother, and the throttle response is what I remembered it as being about 15k back. I still have a light miss which I figured was the ignition or the coils. I didn't test the coils at all, but I'm thinking I should because today on my way home from work with a light mist the car ran perfectly smooth. I'm wondering one of the coil packs is cracked and moisture is getting in and creating a curcuit that was broken. Anyhow, I'm going to get some coils from a yard on Friday (off a 1997-newer hopefully), and a ignition module. Hopefully with those and the ECm from Damemorder Ol Blue will be running smooth again, and maybe, just maybe, I'll get OD lockup for the first time in a long time.
Anyhow, I'm liking the Beldens. They are very thick, with good insulation -even slightly thicker than the 8MM Spiro Pro'*. Oh, it is so nice to be back in the power. Would've been nice to have had these before I went to the track last week -can hardly wait for August 25th. Maybe a 16.0? Also, I hope to have the manifolds and heads ported by then, so if I do -maybe 15.7-15.8'*, especially with the header wraps.

no experience.. yet, but Jegs has MSD super conductor wires [25' 8.5mm bulk wire], for 32.99$ I am going to buy that as soon as I confirm that that will be a sufficiant length, and that the ICM and Coils I bought work properly. Hopefully in a week or too, damn slow shipping .

I hope we get at least some answers, if not some replacement wires. I have 2 partially bad sets now, just from this year alone. I'd like to get some new wires, and I'd prefer to not pay AGAIN.

I got a set of beldin 7mm wires from NAPA sized specificically for the 3800 Vin 1. Cost me 50 bucks but if ANYTHING goes wrong with a wire its an instant replacement. I could cut it up into 300 pieces with a dull key and it would be replaced.
Enough spark for my car says it all. You don't need anything more.
