The new rubber door seals work well to really tighten things up.

Looking good.

I like Bill'* idea. I think I have finally found a location for those acrylic Bonne Meet plaques we got at last years meet.
The alternator bracket was completed today and I rushed home to install it tonight.
I'm just about ready to rumble.
This may be the weekend.

Not much chance I'm going to part with these jewels for a while.
My son had to do a video project for school so I just had to do the obligatory burnout for the movie with the Formula. Left twin streaks all the way down the back lane........neighbours called the cops....they didn't come.....some people have no respect for burning rubber.
Finished the engine, filled it with coolant and lowered it to the ground off the blocks tonight.
All I have left to do is wire up the electric choke to a keyed power source....not sure where to connect....may have to run an interior powered switch if I can't find anything.
Then I will remove the distributor and prime the oil pump with a drill and socket.
What'* the best way to prime the fuel with a manual pump that'* driven off the timing chain eccentric. I suppose I will simply make sure the carb is full and dump some fuel into the carb bore to give it a kick.
Will run it at about 2000 rpm for about 15 minutes to break in the new cam and lifters.
Any other suggestions?

I know your far along in your project, but I wanted to let you know about this place in Arizona. If you need a part and can get it from here, I could pick it up and bring it to WCBF05 for you.

Thanks for the link Echo. I could have used it a few months ago.....and still may. I'll let you know.
I started it up today.
Ran it for 30 minutes between 1500 and 2000 rpm to break in the new cam.
It sounded grrrrrrrreat.
The blower fan does not work, so I still have some electrical work to do. Sure could use PDad'* help now. The wiring is a mess.
Time to rest now and celebrate.
