I purchased a set of rotors and Kevlar pad package and also a set of drums from an Ebay Parts seller in British Columbia in Canada. His Ebay ID is "lecarautomobiles". the rotors are drilled and slotted with the brand name of Lomandi; they are not Asia or Mexican made rotors and are sold under the brand name of SP Performance Rotors by other companies at a much higher price. For the past 3 years, I have used the SP Performance Rotors in other applications and do not have any complaints. My wife'* previous van had rotors replace twice in 2 years and they were replaced wit Raybestos. I switched to the SP Rotors and did not have any problems for the folowing 2 years and when she sold the van, the brakes were still is excellent shape and warpage. The same rotors sold by Race Shopper at a much higher price.

I paid $110.00 for the rotors and pads, and $40.00 for both drums. I have not experienced any problems at all and the stopping imporved drastically with my 1995 SSEi. I highly recommend these guys.

About brakes I have heard that the Cross-Drilled rotors are weaker and do not last as long as the slotted. The only reason cross drilled rotors are made is for racing only. But if you want go with Raybestos ceramic pads and rotors they have great stopping power on dry roads. Not slotted just regular rotors.

Absolutely correct on the cross-drilling. They're literally a 'one race only' type of thing in most cases. People want them for bragging rights and cosmetics, but most brake shops refuse to turn them now for liability reasons.

Slotted has fantastic benefit to the street car. Not drilling. Cross-drilling reduces the effective braking surface area. Slotting does too, but it has the benefit of venting pad gasses, actually INCREASING braking force.
