Is it possible/feasable to pump the cool air from the AC unit back into the throttle body via a CAI setup? :?: I'm thinking just split the output say 60/40 or 70/30, the higher number to the cars cabin, the lower to the intake. Put a valve switch on the intake side so you can turn it on and off, ie. during the winter when you are running the heater and the air outside is cold anyways. Then you could be pumping 60 degree air into your engine, I'm sure it would like that. :P

That'* not a bad idea.. but the problem is I"m sure you notice that when you have the AC on.. the car seems to loose power as it is. So doing that may not be affective in gainin power. ( possibly attemptin to balance the power back out with the AC on ? ). The other thing is what about the Freon? I maybe wrong.. but how does the Freon cool the cabin down ? By coolin the air, but does the Freon actually come out of the vent? hummm...

No..the freon does not...BUT...is there a way to circulate freon to a double wall intake tube...ie..tube in a tube...with a high and low side freon line connected to it???????

You mean to have a CAI with an outer tube filled with freon cooling the inner tube where the air is passing through? That sounds pretty cool. Will there be any ill affects due to any condensation, if there would be any :?:

Well most likely...ALthough if you were to just send a shot of freon (small amount) to the sleeve...maybe if could regulate condensation...all you would have to control would be on the airside..(inside tube)...most condensation would be on the outside of the tube which would just keep things even cooler...RIGHT.??

The air-to-air intercooler that I will be using with my Procharger P1-SC1 could be cooled with a similar system. The air passes through a large-tube radiator before it enters the intake. If I were to run freon cooling lines around this core, it might do exactly what you guys are talking about. Condensation shouldn't be a problem since the freon would be outside the flow. The intercooler has a constant flow when the car is running. I would recommend an electric compressor (if you have the money) and remove the stock unit. Sorry ... I usually think fancy and exotic.

I thought about doing something like this last summer, except instead of using the car'* AC system, I planned to cool the intake using Peltier junctions (basically electrostatic heat pumps).
Unfortunately, implementing the idea turned out to be more difficult than expected, so now all I have to show for it is a bunch of 54-watt Peltiers sitting around. :?
