Ya, but 16psi too lean will blow it, obviously. The rear manifold, even the stock one, outflows the front manifold, alot of people skew the rear injectors so the rear cyls don;t run lean. I was going to do it and forgot about it. Esp with my rear header, it'* 1-3/4" tubes into a 2" pipe.
So, after all this, I will have an O2 bung in both the rear header and in the uppipe just after the front manifold so I can monitor a/f from both banks and really fine tune it. That will keep this from happening again.

Fire shot out under the car!
I thought I blew the downpipe til I saw this. I drove the car about 5 miles back to the shop.

It appears that wasn't a factory OEM head gasket that blew out. I see you have converted to head studs. That will only improve retention.
Something must not have been right with the gasket install or the gasket itself. :?

Last week I was running and trying to itme 0-60 second gear starts, ran it at least 10 times to rev limit in 2nd gear with no problems. I really think it was the extremely cold dense air and it just leaned out. The POP! was scary as hell! Fire blew out under the car! I thouhgt i blew the engine!
