Isn't it that the turbo helps you in the top end even more? Is it going to be easier for you to launch the car, especially with a turbo that big?

Launching with a turbo is a matter of finding the sweet spot between "not enough boost" and "too much boost and the brakes don't hold". A good launch off a turbo requires top notch brakes on the drive wheels. Don't scrimp here, as it'll just mean less boost on the launch. Depending on your HP level, expect to launch with 5-10 PSI. Plus, when you go to launch, DON'T sit on the brakes too long. That'* one sure way to lower the life of the torque converter. If you're running rounds at the track, try to stage last if possible and minimize the time you sit building boost on the line. Many racers will give you the chance if they know you have a turbo. And be sure to move into the lights the moment your competitor does. Nothing less respectful than to have the opportunity to go in last then burn down the guy in the other lane. It requires practice to get it all right. Perhaps go to the track on a test and tune night and pair up with someone that can help you in the other lane. Someone that doesn't sit on a rev limiter while you learn how your new toy works. Play, learn, and have fun!
