Default 1.95 Yella Terra Rockers

There are 1.95 Yella Terra Rockers for sale on clubgp for $250.00 shipped. Comes with pushrods, pedistils and reusable rocker bolts.

Im more interested in these then the 1.9 modified zzp rockers, because the 1.95 is a higher ratio and should give me a little bit more power.

Is this a good deal, or am i overpaying?

i plan on putting these on with a 3.4 pulley and doing a dynotune from zzp.

That'* a very good deal. You will want to ensure you change the springs to Crowe Cam 105#.

Some say i should get 90'* and others 105'*. Im guessing you guys stay away from 90'* because in theory it puts more stress and wear on the tensioner?

Recently a friend had a 90 break. The 90'* are LS6 springs. Doing further research he found that the Vette guys are constantly breaking the LS6 springs. Therefore the 105'* seem to be the better one to choose.

I suggest the 105s. I've had to fix 2 broken 105s on a friends car, but I think he has a bad set. He'* getting a whole new set.

Dan... He probably bought them from ZZP after Comp Cam'* moved their production to Mexico. Anything produced by Comp Cam'* in Mexico seems to have lower quality standards.

Most of the vendors are now using Crowe Cams springs w/o any problems.

This brings up a good topic. So if I bought a kit like this. All I have to do is swap out the valve springs, retainers, and throw in push rods and bolt on and go? Or is it like on my 5.0 ho where I had to figure out what length pushrods i needed and the shim size? Any shimming? Or just torque them down to 30ft lbs or so and go? Is there any up keep on these over stock ones?
thanks
craig
