{L27 Performance}...Already did all the common, whats next?
Alright.....
Since I will be stuck with this Stupid N/A setup until I get a real 3800, I want to make it run its best.
am wondering what else I can do to:
- Add a Little More Power
- Add Gas Fuel Economy
Please do not say L67 Drop, Turbo, or Rockers, since those are probably a little out of my price range
Here is what I have done so far:
For Air Delivery, I have installed a RX-4750 with a carefully drilled MAF Screen (cut out around the area away from the maf entrance)
Speaking of maf sensors, I also cleaned it out as much as possible
For plugs I will be running the NGK55-ix gapped to 0.060
for wires I have the stock coils and 8.5mm autolites
2.5" magnaflow high flow cat
drilled 180* Stat to keep it cool
So what else would help out this poor non-boosted motor?
Obvioulsy I will soon be replacing the fuel filter, air filter, IAC, and clean the thottle body. I may also replace the IAC sensor as well.
I was under the impression that the Series II L67 coils were better, but would they really matter with this motor?
Would the MSD coils be worth the cost?
Would a better muffler really help w/1/4 mile times or gas miliage?
Would A TPS mod do anything noticable?
Is there anything else or should I just call it good.
Also any guesses as to how much hp and torque I have with what I have done so far?

I think an L67 swap with a Turbo and Rockers would do you nicely.
j/k
TPS mod could be useful if you're is off from the factory. Measure it.
MSD coild are a no-go.
Get a muffler, Magnaflow. Imroving VE imporves MPG>

- Manual Fan Switch
- CAI Box
- Bigger Intake Pipe/Filter - Insulate
- P&P Throttle Body
- Chip (more timing, higher shifts, delete EGR)
- ZZP Underdrive WP Pulley (you will have to mod it)
- New Dogbone
- Weight Removal
- Bypass A/C (doesn't really help)
Do a few of these mods and learn how to launch really good and get that beast into the mid 15'*.
