So the difference is the cylinder heads. The Fed emission cars did not have provisions for the AIR ports or AIR manifolds. Only the CALIF emission cars have these heads. Yes there may be a different cam profile to offset something emission based but I'm not about to put one on the cam doctor and find out. By the way does anyone know the balance percentages for this engine? I can tell you it'* NOT 39%....

Thanks for the info. Where did you end up picking yours up? Cheapest price I'm finding on line without core is around $2033 + shipping.

I bought an '01 and just built the engine myself with Ns300 inserts and A1 studs
