then there has to be something wrong, like the wiring to the ign cyl. theres going to be a couple wires that go to the ign cyl. you need to see if they have a resistance and arent open. i havent taken one of those apart so i dont know how to be more specific, but the little wires like to break in the steering column. usually you can read the original resistance and put some resistors in the circuit cut back under the dash.but you dont have it

this is what i would do if it was my car, buy this

and hook it to your ipc
http://newrockies.com/installation-i...obile-achieva/

if your ipc is bad somehow this still wont fix it but 25 for the bypass module is likely less than what you could try replacing the ipc for.

ok thanks! i left it alone and came back to it and it started!! it will start fine now but the "ETS" light is on in the dash.
my next step is to see if it runs on the road. it seems to run poorly. i dont know if it ran like that before i got it. want to try and get it to set a code. it sorta lopes at idle

see post 12. seems like either the ipc or signal to it is bad. if you had a o-scope you could see if you were getting the right signal to the ipc. otherwise 50/50 shot to buy something and see if it works.
