Another thing to check would be the EGR valve. sometimes they would stick open or have a piece of carbon holding it open.

I would hold off on the EGR. A rough idle could be a stuck EGR but on throttle it would have little effect.

If you are going to clean the MAF, use MAF sensor cleaner ONLY. Anything else will leave residue and cause the sensor data to be skewed.

Well thing,* were looking up. It was running smother, power was back. Well today while driving all of a sudden the motor viberated hard when leaving a stop. Feels like the trany is acting up. It,* hard to tell. no matter what gear I put it in ,the vibrations were still strong. It lugged on take off . From the looks I got a few times it must have sounded worse outside than inside. I feel there is a chance that I messed something up. Not sure what though. I did also find what I thought was to much slack in the gas pedal cable. At the throttle body there was 1/2 of deflection. Moving the pedal, there was a lot of cable moving before the gas was starting to increase. I hope this made sense . Thank,* in advance for any help you can offer. gary r

When it vibrated etc., did the engine RPMs increase or decrease?

, rpm would run higher, at a slow speed it would run around 2500. I would be going about 30 mph. I was going the speed limit. The vibration stayed with the car at all speeds.Thank you for getting back to me. gary r

The rpm would increase to close to 2500 rpms till it shifted at that time their was a slight drop . . then they would climb back to 2500 range at 30 mph. thanks for helping me. gary r
