3800 V6 Leaking oil
#13
I hate to say this, but I think you will just have to get under the car and track down the leak. We can sit here guessing all day. Something dumping a quart of oil every 3 days is going to be blatantly obvious when you spot it. If your engine bay is dirty, as I suspect it may be after leaking this much oil, you should probably clean it. That will help immensely in spotting this leak. Still need help? UV Dye + Black light. You look for the leak at night then, and the dye will light up the leak like a Christmas tree.
The only other place I can think of would be around the oil pump, which is integrated in the timing cover, but again, you tell us where you see the leak on the engine, most anybody here can tell you how to fix it usually.

I took Rjolly87'* advice and decided to look underneath the car. Luckily I found out where the source of the leak was. Apparently, it was the oil pan gasket after all. The pics attached will show a blue gasket out where it'* not supposed to be. The other picture is that of my EGR pipe that I had to wrap with duct tape and metal tape. This is what'* barely keeping my engine from revving up past 2200 RPM on idle. I am also posting a video on YouTube that shows the piston slap on my engine. I'll post a link soon to that.

I couldn't hear anything aside from your talking, and the power steering pump. Is there any way you can try the video again with just the noise you are describing being captured?
