2001 Silhouette rear audio not working?
Hello,
I have a 2001 Silhouette, with the separate rear audio controls for the passengers. Currently there is no sound coming from the lift gate speakers, or the overhead speakers beside the video screen, and when you press the PWR button on the rear audio control nothing happens (no red light). I've tested the speakers and they are all good.
I'm assuming the rear speakers are routed through the rear audio control, so I removed the rear audio control, unplugged the harness at the back and tested the harness wiring for any voltage coming through when playing the radio from the front dash... nothing coming through.
Is there an in-line fuse or something that I can check for the rear audio control? Or what would be the next thing to check...
(BTW: The front speakers work great, VCR works, video screen plays fine and VCR audio comes through the front speakers.)
Thanks a lot for any suggestions

theres a pink 12v and black/white ground at the rear module you can check for.
you can check with a speaker to see if there is audio to the rear module plug. if you are getting all that there has to be something wrong with the module

OK, I just tested for current coming through the pink wire in the harness and nothing is coming through, and I'm not getting any continuity from the blck/wht ground wire in the harness to another ground point on the van. I'm going to pull the radio and check continuity in the harness and see what'* up.
Thanks for the post
