You might be a redneck if you drive....
THIS!
Thats my dads farm truck, that I just went out to play in the snow in. haha...
It seriously has A LOT of problems, and to be honest my dad never shouldve bought it, especially not for 1500...I just looked at an old truck similar to that without the lift and whatnot and although the outside was bad the interior was mint for a truck of that age and the guy let it go for 1200...sad
This truck has a list of problems a mile long, but it still runs and is a blast to drive..except for the fact the power steering barely functions.
its a 350 with a 4-speed manual, Edelbrock carb and manifold, headers and flowmaster true dual exhaust....not sure of any other mods but I think it may have a mild cam because it has a really lopey idle...or it might just be a piece of crap.

Would love to pick up a decent stepside from that generation as a project truck.

As for what we use it for, we use it to haul in loads of wood, because we heat our home/water with an outdoor wood furnace.
We also use it to drive across the river to check on the cows, go hunting, all that other good stuff.
It hasnt been licensed since we got it, mostly since it currently wont pass an inspection. It doesnt have a horn, turn signals dont work, among other things that would keep it from passing.
It has several problems, and most recently even developed some electrical problems, the kid who owned it before him put an electric fuel pump on it for some reason, and now most of all the electricals that are supposed to kick on with the ignition dont....so we have the fuel pump wired to a switch on the steering column
Its ghetto, but it gets the job done.....barely
